Boomplay is Nigeria & Africa’s biggest music & video streaming service. The service was launched in 2015 with the deployment of its first mobile app in March. Currently, Boomplay has over 68 million users & a catalogue of 20 million songs & videos.

An experiential marketing event to increase Boomplay’s subscriber base was handled by The 606 Agency. The ground for this event was the campus of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in Nigeria’s Northwest region. ABU Zaria is one of Nigeria’s first generation universities & home to a sizeable number of students.

We engaged and entertained the university community over a 3-day period. The campaign ended with the staging of Pop Campus Fest on ABU Zaria campus. Pop Campus Fest is a mini festival for fun seekers within a university community. The event had in attendance over 6000 people who were thrilled by the day’s activities. As a result of this campaign, Boomplay gained over 3000 new users.
